Moonlight and Magnolias

by Ron Hutchinson

February 29 -
March 15, 2008

CoHo Theatre

Take a peek into studio-era Hollywood with this behind-the-scenes, show business comedy. It is 1939 and legendary producer David O. Selznick has just shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind. In a desperate attempt to save the film, Selznick fires the director, throws out the screenplay and locks himself in his office for five days straight with screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming - whom he has just pulled from the set of The Wizard of Oz. Fueled only by bananas, peanuts, and determination the three men battle each other as they create an adaptation from Margaret Mitchell's celebrated novel. This fast-paced farce will keep you laughing as three icons from the film industry take on what has become one of the greatest movies of all time.

December 7 - 22,
2007

CoHo Theatre

"Scrooge? I have to redeem old Scrooge? The one man I knew who was worse than I was? Impossible!"

And so begins Tom Mula's enchanting play, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol. This funny and deeply moving story brings the ghost of Jacob Marley into the spotlight to tell his version of a famous Christmas tale. In order to be relieved of his chains and have his debts forgiven, Marley is assigned the challenge of convincing Scrooge to have a complete and willing change of heart. Ring in the holidays this December with a fanciful tour of Marley's afterlife in this imaginative and inspired alternative to Dickens' classic.

The Nerd

by Larry Shue

September 28 -
October 13, 2007

CoHo Theatre

This side-splitting comedy tells the story of Willum, an aspiring young architect who is visited by a stranger who saved his life in Vietnam. Though he has never met this Good Samaritan, Willum has promised to do anything for him and is delighted when he shows up unexpectedly on the night of Willum's 34th birthday. The delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that the hero is really a hopeless "nerd" who is socially inept, clumsy, annoying...and plans to stay! "The Nerd" becomes the houseguest from hell, leading to hilarious situations and non-stop laughs!
