Meg Chamberlain

 

MEG CHAMBERLAIN began her career with Black Comedy at the Roundabout Theatre on Broadway. Since then some of her favorite roles have been Lady Macbeth, Maggie the Cat, Mrs. Bob Cratchit, and Floating PiƱata Head. She was on PBS in The War That Made America and has stage managed Menopause the Musical in both Cleveland and Portland. Meg has written several musicals for children and for ten years was the Director of Theater Education at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, OH. During that time, she produced nine shows a year at the Beck Center and also toured schools with Great Works Productions. Locally, she has performed in Daughters and directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) with Public Playhouse, which the Willamette Week called, "Funny as hell!". Meg has also appeared in The Orchard at Portland Center Stage, directed for Fertile Ground, and produced Too Much Coffee Man Opera.

Meg directed Public Playhouse's 2009 production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).
