Karen Rathje

Karen Rathje graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Occidental College and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Southern California. She practiced law for a number of years and now manages a family operated real estate and investment business. She comes from a theatrical family and both of her children are active in the theatre. She has served as the President of the Lake Oswego High School and Junior High School PTAs and has volunteered extensively in a number of theatres in Portland, including Artists Repertory Theatre, Northwest Children’s Theatre and Oregon Children’s Theatre. She joins Public Playhouse because of her love of theatre and her excitement about the future for Public Playhouse.
