JOLIN MILBERG is a founding member and Director of Production at Public House Theatre Company. While her focus is producing, artistic leadership and business development, she has extensive theatre experience on and offstage. Her recent work with Public House Theatre Company includes directing The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), The Boys Next Door, and The Nerd, and assistant directing Moonlight and Magnolias and The Imaginary Invalid. She has performed with Public House Theatre Company as Marley in Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol and Kaye in A Taffeta Christmas.
Jolin is a recent transplant from California, where she appeared with several theatre companies, including: Stage One, Bus Barn Theatre, Shakespeare Orange County, West Valley Light Opera, Foothill Theatre and STOC. Her favorite roles include The Witch in Into the Woods, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, and Beatrice in Servant of Two Masters. Jolin has taught theatre to children for over twenty years and has directed several children's productions, including: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Magic Theatre, and Goin' Buggy. In addition, she has been a music director and has developed and directed an original work, Fabulous Fables. Jolin was a company member of California Theatre Center and CTC Summer Rep, where she was seen in The Diary of Anne Frank, The Fantasticks, Tom Sawyer, The Ugly Duckling, Alice in Wonderland and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Jolin attended Chapman University, where she received a B.A. in Communications / Theatre. She holds teaching credentials in both California and Washington and is an experienced teacher. She has taught in a specialized program for gifted students, taught at a parent-participation, developmentally based school and has been a private tutor. Jolin has taught workshops to educators on integration of performing arts into curriculum, has been a master teacher and a staff mentor for differentiated instruction. |
