David Hudkins
Board Member

DAVID HUDKINS began performing in the area almost twenty years ago.  His first role (Lone Star) won him a nomination for Best Actor by Clark County Theatre Alliance. Since then, David has performed in the Vancouver/Portland area with several companies:  Lakewood Theatre, Sylvia's Dinner Theatre, Lewis & Clark College, Portland Civic Theatre, Slocum House Theatre, Arts Equity and Public Playhouse.  David's favorite roles include Don't Dress for Dinner, Rumors, Proof, Imaginary Invalid (Public Playhouse), Lion in Winter and any production with his talented wife, Debbie.  His work was honored in 1999 by Clark County Theatre Alliance with a Best Actor award for his performance in The Good Doctor.  Other performances include Wind in the Willows, Come On Jeeves, A Few Good Men and Death and the Maiden.  He was most recently seen in Arts Equity Theatre's production of Picasso at the Lapine Agile and Public Playhouse's The Boys Next Door.  David also appeared in the locally filmed martial arts movie Iron Heart.

David worked for Hewlett Packard in the Information Technology department for twenty-five years, and after retiring, embarked on a new career as a construction cost estimator for a Portland general contractor. With his knowledge in construction and his interest in residential/commercial 3D design, he hopes to be instrumental in finding a permanent theatre home for Public Playhouse.
